This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We've written it in plain English — no legal jargon.
📱 Information We Collect
Information stored on your device only:
- Your saved visa check results
- Your recent searches
- Your trip plans and pre-travel checklists
All of the above is stored locally on your iPhone using the standard iOS app sandbox. It never leaves your device.
Information sent to our servers (for visa checks only):
- Your selected passport country code (e.g., "US")
- Your selected destination country code (e.g., "JP")
These two country codes are sent to our backend (hosted on Vercel) to retrieve visa requirement data. We do not log them with any user identifier, IP address, or device identifier.
Information we do NOT collect:
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any contact details
- We do not collect your precise GPS location
- We do not access your contacts, photos, calendar, or microphone
- We do not require an account or log-in
- We do not track your usage with analytics tools beyond Apple's standard crash reporting
📣 Advertising
VisaHub uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and native ads. AdMob may use device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads, subject to your consent under Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
- On iOS, you will be asked for tracking permission before any ad personalization occurs
- If you decline tracking, only non-personalized ads will be shown
- You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → VisaHub

💱 Third-Party Services
To provide live exchange rates on result screens, VisaHub fetches data from the open exchange rate API (open.er-api.com). Only currency codes (e.g., "USD", "JPY") are sent — no personal data.
Visa requirement data is sourced from publicly available government and immigration records and served from our backend hosted on Vercel.
💾 Caching
To keep the app fast and reduce data usage, VisaHub caches visa check results and exchange rates on your device for up to 24 hours. This cache is stored using your device's standard secure storage and is automatically cleared when you uninstall the app.
🗑️ Data Deletion
Because VisaHub does not store any of your information on our servers, deleting the app removes all of your data permanently — saved checks, recent searches, trip plans, and cached results are all wiped instantly.
To delete the app: long-press the VisaHub icon on your home screen and tap "Delete App."
👶 Children's Privacy
VisaHub is rated 4+ and is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information from any user, this applies universally.

VisaHub is not responsible for any travel disruptions, denied entry, or other consequences arising from reliance on information provided by this app.
🌍 International Users
VisaHub is operated from the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Because VisaHub does not collect or store personal data, most of these rights do not apply — but if you have questions, please contact us.
📝 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of VisaHub after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
