No — Scripture works completely without an account. Everything is stored privately on your device. No sign-up, no email, no password required.

Just open the app and begin.

During onboarding, you'll be asked two questions:

• Your faith journey — New to faith, Growing, Deepening, or Returning
• Your focus areas — Peace, Strength, Gratitude, Guidance, Healing, or Family

Your daily verse is selected from a curated pool matched to your chosen focus areas. You can update these at any time in Settings → Faith Profile.

Each day you open the app, a verse is presented from a curated collection matched to your focus areas. The verse changes daily and is consistent across all opens on the same day.

You can swipe through other verses in the Library tab or open the Reader by tapping "Read More" on the home screen.

Your streak grows by one each day you open the app. Open it every day and your flame grows. Miss a day and the streak resets to 1.

Your longest streak is always saved, even if your current streak resets.

Milestone badges unlock based on your longest streak:

• 🌱 Seedling — 3 days
• 🌿 First Week — 7 days
• 🌳 Two Weeks Strong — 14 days
• 🌟 Month of Faith — 30 days
• 💎 Diamond Devotion — 60 days
• 👑 Century of Grace — 100 days

Tap the 🔥 streak chip on the home screen to see your progress.

Streaks require you to open the app at least once per day. If you miss a day — meaning the app was not opened before midnight — the streak resets to 1 the next time you open it.

Set up a daily notification reminder to help you stay consistent. You can configure this in Settings → Daily Scripture.

There are two ways to open the prayer journal:

• Tap the 🙏 Pray quick action on the home screen
• While reading a verse in the Reader, tap "Write a Prayer" at the bottom

Each entry is linked to the verse you were reading, creating a meaningful record over time.

Yes. Open the Prayer Journal screen, then swipe left on any entry to reveal the delete option. Confirm deletion in the prompt that appears.

Journal entries are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to any server. This means your prayers are completely private — only you can read them.

If you delete the app, your journal entries will be permanently removed. We recommend enabling iCloud backup for your device to protect local app data.

During onboarding you'll be asked when you'd like your daily reminder — Morning (8 AM), Midday (12 PM), or Evening (7 PM).

You can change this at any time by going to Settings → Daily Scripture → Reminder time. Tap the time to open the time picker.

Try these steps:

• Open Settings → Notifications → Scripture and make sure notifications are enabled
• In the app, go to Settings and verify the Daily Scripture toggle is on
• Check that Focus / Do Not Disturb modes aren't blocking the app
• Force-quit the app and re-open it
• Restart your device

On any verse card, tap the 🔖 Save button at the bottom of the card. The button will fill in to confirm it's saved.

All your saved verses appear at the top of the Library tab under "Saved."

Tap the ↑ Share button on any verse card. This opens the standard iOS share sheet — you can share the verse text to Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, copy it to clipboard, and more.

Scripture includes 30 hand-curated Bible verses across 6 themes: Peace, Strength, Gratitude, Guidance, Healing, and Family. We plan to expand the library in future updates.

Scripture collects no personal data. Everything — your journal entries, saved verses, streak, and preferences — lives only on your device. Nothing is sent to any server.

Delete the app from your device. All locally stored data — journal entries, saved verses, streak, preferences — is permanently removed immediately.

Because no data is stored on our servers, there is nothing on our end to request deletion of.
